Rai, who joined Rower LLC as Senior Counsel in 2017, has been called “the lawyers’ lawyer” – the person to whom other lawyers turn when they are stumped by thorny legal issues that require creative solutions. Recognized as a skilled writer, Rai has a hand in all of the firm’s briefs and motions. In more than 35 years of practice, Rai has honed her skills at some of the most prestigious and respected matrimonial law firms in New York, including Cohen Clair Lans Griefer & Thorpe, LLP, where she was senior counsel; Ellenbogen & Goldstein, PC, where she was a partner; Raoul Lionel Felder, PC, where she was an associate; and most recently as a partner in the Westchester firm of Miller Zeiderman Wiederkehr & Schwarz LLP.
A fierce but pragmatic advocate, Rai strives to amicably resolve matters in her clients' interests, but when settlement is impossible, she will fight for her clients' rights in the trial and appellate courts.
Rai believes in giving back to the community. She has helped the homeless as a volunteer for New York Cares and other organizations, served as a volunteer lawyer for LeGal, providing legal advice to the GLBTQ community and is a DonorsChoose “School Angel” to IS 303 Leadership & Community Service Academy in the Bronx.
